Prostate Cancer Connection
Know your PSA. Start the conversation.
A simple blood test can find prostate cancer early, when it is most treatable. PCC offers education, screening awareness and support for men, families and caregivers.

PSA awareness
What is a PSA test?
A PSA test measures a protein made by the prostate. A higher level can be a sign that something needs a closer look, but it does not mean you have cancer on its own.
The right time to begin testing depends on your age, family history and background. A conversation with your doctor is the best way to decide.
- Ask your doctor whether PSA screening is right for you.
- Tell your doctor if prostate cancer runs in your family.
- Bring a family member or friend to the appointment if it helps.
